When it comes to turnover, healthcare now ranks second only to the hospitality industry. And the continuing wave of baby boomer retirements means even more vacancies ahead.

That’s why more than 395 hospitals in 13 states are turning to Healthcare Staffing Services (HSS) for help. Founded by the South Carolina Hospital Association 15 years ago, HSS is a single portal to a nationwide network of staffing agencies. HSS simplifies the staffing process so clients spend less time on paperwork and more time building a great team to improve patient care. Our unique revenue-sharing model provides a source of funds that can be reinvested to support association initiatives and reduce pressure on membership dues.

With yet another record year, HSS has evolved into a national provider of workforce solutions. The numbers speak for themselves:

  • 8,078 travel positions filled in 2017
  • 28%  increase in filled travel positions over 2016
  • 115 partnered staffing agencies
  • 45 different classes of positions filled, not including nursing specialties

Now we’re making another leap forward as we expand our scope of services, invest in new technology, and enlarge our geographic footprint to make an even bigger impact. Our new strategic plan, along with a major rebranding, will launch in early 2018.
